Copan and Topaz

The kitty is a jaguar called Copan.

This replaced a partial scan I made early on with my Linotype-Hell Topaz 2 scanner, an older high end flatbed scanner.

The image was "dry under-mounted" 120 negative — which means I mounted the negative on the underside of the scanner glass so that the result is similar to scanning glassless.

Scanned at approximately 2500 dpi.

Camera: Pentax 6x7 SLR with 105mm f2.4 and Canon C8 1.4x teleconverter (attached to the front, so the lens was effectively a 147mm f2.4 at f2.4 for this shot ... which is why the detail is sharp on Copan's nose but soft on his rump and tail).
