The new $10 bill.

It is an attractive and relatively colorful sample of American currency with numerous security features.  This is one secure scrap of paper!

But has anyone else found it odd, nay ... bizarre that the words "We the People" appear next to Hamilton's likeness?

All things considered, those folks at Treasury either have no sense of history or else they have especially perverted or ironic senses of humor.

Hamilton was very nearly the least "the People" focused Founding Father of all the Founding Fathers.  Quite possibly the least.

For my own part, I suspect that Hamilton would bust a gut with laughter if he could see the new money.
The shortest essay I'm probably ever going to write.
